Lifted up the rubber matting in the cab to find they were wet underneath, with the expected consequences to the floor.
It's all just surface rust, so a wire brush down and some of Hammerite's finest Kurust gets slapped on.
I've also taken off the bonnet to improve access to the engine bay. As the bonnet alignment was pretty good, I drew round the hinges to make them easier to refit.
Bonnet release cable is on its last legs so will be replaced.
I tried out the pop-top roof that gives room to stand inside:
I intend to make a new dash for the van, I'll post this up when I've done it. Here's the old dash and heating and ventilation system all coming out. This needs to be done as the bulkhead has to be cut away to fit the L-series.
